Voicemail

Set up voicemail boxes, use the visual inbox, and read automatic transcripts and summaries of every message.

Every extension gets a voicemail box automatically (shared common-area phones don't). You can listen from any handset or from the visual inbox in the browser phone.

Mailbox settings

Under Voicemail & Media, each box has:

  • A PIN
  • Email delivery — send new voicemails to an email address
  • A storage cap — the maximum number of messages to keep
  • Greetings — recorded from the handset
  • A message-waiting indicator on the phone

Visual voicemail inbox

In the phone workspace, the Voicemail tab lists your messages:

  • New vs old, with new messages highlighted
  • Play a message (it's marked read automatically)
  • Mark as read or delete
  • Dial *97 from any handset to check voicemail by phone

Transcripts & summaries

Open a message and you'll see an automatic text transcript plus a one-line summary — so you can triage voicemail at a glance without listening. The first few lines show inline, with Show full transcript to expand. Live calls can get the same treatment — transcripts, recaps, and action items — in the AI voice suite for business calls.

Tip

Prefer forwarding to voicemail? See Forwarding, follow-me & DND for how unanswered calls reach the box (or get forwarded elsewhere instead).
