Managed UCaaS & Business Phone System Services

Already have a phone system? We take it over: fix the call quality and routing problems you've lived with, integrate it with the tools your team actually uses, keep it running 24×7 — and modernize or migrate only when the numbers justify it, not because we sell a platform.

What is managed UCaaS?

Managed UCaaS is an operating service for unified communications you already own: a provider takes responsibility for the platform's configuration, quality, integrations, carrier relationships, and day-to-day support, under defined service levels — whoever originally supplied the software.

We work with what you have

Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Teams Phone, Zoom Phone, RingCentral and 8x8, on-premises PBXs from Cisco, Avaya and Mitel, and SIP trunking from any carrier. The starting point is your system, not a migration quote.

  • No rip-and-replace as the opening move
  • Carrier and vendor relationships managed for you
  • Existing numbers, hardware, and licences kept where they make sense

Someone finally owns call quality

Jitter, one-way audio, dropped calls at the same time every day — these are network problems more often than phone-system problems, which is why they survive so many vendor calls. We own both layers.

  • QoS, codec, and SBC configuration reviewed end to end
  • Call-quality monitoring with MOS trending
  • Carrier faults chased with evidence attached

Integration with the tools you use

Click-to-dial from the CRM, screen pops with the customer record, calendar-aware presence, single sign-on, and call data in the systems your managers already read.

  • CRM, help desk, and ERP integrations
  • Single sign-on and identity-driven provisioning
  • Call records and analytics where reporting already lives

Modernize when it earns its keep

Sometimes the right answer is to keep and fix. Sometimes it's to migrate. We'll show the cost either way, including the line items vendors tend to leave out — and we'll say when staying put is the better call.

  • Written cost comparison, including migration effort
  • Phased cutover with rollback at each step
  • Number porting handled end to end

What we take on

Day-to-day ownership of the platform and everything around it that makes calls work.

Moves, adds, and changes

New starters, leavers, re-routing, hunt groups, IVR changes, and hardware swaps — handled on request instead of queuing behind someone's other job.

Call routing and IVR design

Menus, queues, out-of-hours handling, and overflow designed around how your callers actually behave, then documented so the next change is easy.

Monitoring and fault management

24×7 monitoring of the platform, trunks, and edge devices, with faults raised and chased — including with the carrier — before your staff report them.

Carrier and number management

Trunks, DIDs, porting, e911 records, and contract renewals managed as part of the service, with billing checked against what you agreed.

Security and compliance

Toll-fraud protection, SBC hardening, recording retention aligned to your obligations, and access control over who can change routing.

Reporting

Call volumes, abandonment, queue performance, and voice quality reported each period — the data that tells you whether staffing matches demand.

Our service standards

The numbers we hold ourselves to, reported every period.

Average speed of answer — 80/20

80% of support calls answered by a live engineer within 20 seconds. A phone provider that can't answer its own phone quickly is telling you something.

First-contact resolution — 70–75%

About three in four voice issues resolved on the first contact, including routing changes and quality investigations that don't need a site visit.

Service availability — 99.95%

For the voice services and platforms we operate. Connectivity and SD-WAN transport carry their own SLAs on those pages, since a call depends on both.

Or move to our own platform

If your system is genuinely at the end of its life, we also build and run our own cloud phone platform — and we're equally happy to keep managing what you have.

The intSignal UCaaS platform

Our own cloud phone system: calling, business texting, video, contact center, and business cellular, with AI call flows, transcription, and quality scoring built in rather than sold as add-ons.

  • Software we build and operate ourselves
  • Managed for you or self-administered
  • See the platform pages for capabilities and pricing

Migration, when it's the right call

Phased cutover by site or department, numbers ported without downtime, desk phones kept if you want them, and the old system left running until the new one has proven itself.

  • Parallel running before cutover
  • Rollback plan at every stage
  • Training for staff and administrators

Or stay where you are

Plenty of systems have years left in them. If yours does, the honest recommendation is to fix the routing, sort the call quality, integrate it properly, and revisit in two years.

  • No migration pressure
  • Written recommendation either way
  • Contract terms that don't depend on a platform change

How we take over a phone system

Assess first, stabilize second, improve third — the order that keeps calls connected while we learn your environment.

1

Assess

We document what you actually have: platform and versions, trunks and carriers, routing and IVR trees, hardware, licences, contracts, and the complaints your staff have stopped bothering to report.

2

Stabilize

Fix what's breaking calls — QoS and network paths, SBC and codec settings, failover, and e911 records — and put monitoring on the platform, the trunks, and the edge.

3

Integrate and tidy

Routing rebuilt around how calls really arrive, integrations to CRM and identity, and documentation written so any engineer can make the next change safely.

4

Operate

24×7 monitoring and support, moves-adds-changes on request, carrier management, and reporting on quality, volumes, and service levels each period.

Obligations we work inside

Voice carries regulatory weight that people forget until an audit or an emergency call.

Frequently asked questions

What is managed UCaaS?

Managed UCaaS is an operating service for unified communications you already own. A provider takes responsibility for configuration, call quality, integrations, carrier relationships, and support under defined service levels — regardless of who originally sold you the platform.

Do we have to switch to your phone platform?

No. Most of this work starts on someone else's system and stays there. We build and run our own cloud phone platform and we'll tell you when moving is genuinely better value, with the numbers — but managing what you have is a service in its own right, not a sales funnel.

Can you fix call quality problems on a system you didn't install?

Yes, and it's the most common reason people call us. Poor call quality is usually a network and configuration problem — QoS, codec choice, SBC settings, an overloaded circuit, or a carrier fault — rather than a defect in the phone system. Because we manage the network layer too, we can prove where the problem is instead of passing it back and forth between vendors.

Can you work with Microsoft Teams Phone?

Yes. Teams is where a lot of organizations already are, and it's a strong platform when the calling side is set up properly: direct routing or operator connect, SBCs, e911 records, call queues and auto attendants, and QoS on the network underneath. We'll operate it and integrate it with the rest of your environment.

Who owns our numbers and carrier contracts?

You do, throughout. We manage the trunks, porting, and renewals on your behalf and keep the records current, but the numbers and agreements stay in your name — so changing provider later is a decision, not an obstacle.

What service levels do you commit to?

80% of support calls answered by a live engineer within 20 seconds, a 70–75% first-contact resolution target, and 99.95% availability for the voice services we operate, alongside severity-based response targets in the agreement. All of it is reported each period.
