Cloud — Managed Private Cloud Infrastructure
Multi-vendor managed private cloud. We design, deploy, and operate dedicated infrastructure on the platforms enterprise IT actually runs — VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, Proxmox VE, the intSignal platform, plus SAP HANA hosting and Veeam-managed backup. You bring the workloads and licenses; we run the rest.

Four stacks we operate
Each stack runs on dedicated intSignal infrastructure with day-two operations included. Licenses are customer-owned (BYOL) — we operate the platform; you control the entitlement.
01
VSPHERE · VCENTER · NSX · VSAN
Operated VMware vSphere environments on dedicated infrastructure. ESXi hosts, vCenter management, and the surrounding VMware ecosystem you've already standardized on.
02
AHV · PRISM · FILES · OBJECTS
Isolated private network for your workloads. Subnets, route tables, security groups, and flow logs — all of it controlled and visible.
03
KVM · LXC · ZFS · CEPH
Open-source virtualization combining KVM and LXC containers. Enterprise features without proprietary hypervisor licensing — operated on dedicated intSignal infrastructure.
04
NATIVE · NETWORK-OPTIMIZED
Our own private-cloud platform optimized for telecommunications and high-performance workloads, with native integration into intSignal's global network fabric.
05
HANA · SCALE-UP · SCALE-OUT
SAP HANA database hosting on dedicated infrastructure sized for in-memory workloads. High-memory nodes, low-latency storage, network designed for HANA traffic patterns.
06
BACKUP · REPLICATION · IMMUTABLE
Veeam Backup & Replication operated for your private cloud workloads. Backup jobs, restore testing, immutable repositories, and recovery drills handled as a service.
01 · VMware on intSignal
If your operating model is built around vSphere — clusters, vMotion, DRS, vSAN, NSX — running it on intSignal means you keep the operating model. We provide the compute, storage, and network. You bring the licenses. We run the platform underneath.
This is single-tenant by design: dedicated ESXi hosts, your own vCenter, no shared management plane. Workloads can be migrated from on-prem vSphere using the same tooling you already use.
02 · Nutanix on intSignal
Nutanix on intSignal gives you the Nutanix experience — AHV hypervisor, Prism management, integrated storage — without the capital outlay or the timelines of buying nodes, racking them, and waiting on networking. Dedicated nodes, your own Prism, customer-owned licenses.
Useful when you want HCI for a project, a region, or a workload that doesn't justify a new on-prem investment but does justify dedicated capacity. Migration from existing on-prem Nutanix uses standard tooling.
03 · Proxmox VE on intSignal
Proxmox VE combines KVM and LXC under a single open-source platform — full clustering, live migration, ZFS or Ceph storage, HA, and backup all included. Useful when you want enterprise virtualization features without the cost of a proprietary hypervisor stack.
We operate it the same way we operate VMware or Nutanix: dedicated nodes, your own management interface, patching coordinated with your change windows, monitoring wired into our dashboards.
04 · intSignal Platform
For workloads where commercial hypervisor licensing doesn't make sense and where tight integration with intSignal's global network fabric matters more than ecosystem compatibility — the intSignal Platform is our native private-cloud stack. Optimized for telecommunications, high-throughput workloads, and network-function virtualization.
This is the platform we run a lot of internal infrastructure on. It's not for everyone — but if your workload profile fits, it's the lowest-friction option in this catalog.
05 · SAP HANA on Private Cloud
HANA workloads punish underpowered infrastructure quickly. We host SAP HANA on dedicated high-memory nodes sized for the SAP working set, with low-latency storage for log volumes and a network designed for HANA replication traffic.
Scale-up and scale-out topologies are both supported. The operating model is dedicated capacity — your HANA workload isn't competing with anyone else's RAM-hungry application for memory bandwidth.
06 · Veeam Managed Backup
Veeam Backup & Replication operated for the private-cloud workloads above — and for on-prem or hybrid workloads that need to land in a managed repository. Backup jobs are configured, monitored, and reviewed monthly. Restore tests are scheduled and reported, not assumed.
Repositories are immutable by default. Ransomware can encrypt your production data; it doesn't get to encrypt your backups too. Cross-region replication is available where required for DR posture.
Deployment options
Whatever stack you pick from above can be deployed in your facility, a colocation site, or our facility. We handle the operations either way; the location is a separate decision driven by data residency, latency, or capital preferences.
ON-PREMISE
Hardware deployed in your own datacenter or computer room. You keep physical security and facility control. We operate the platform, monitoring, patching, and incident response remotely under documented access controls.
COLOCATION
Deploy in compliant colocation facilities with redundant power, cooling, and connectivity. Useful when you want enterprise-grade facility characteristics without standing up your own datacenter.
DEDICATED HARDWARE
intSignal-owned servers deployed in our facilities. Zero upfront hardware cost, predictable monthly billing, fastest time-to-stand-up. Operationally identical to the other deployment options.
CUSTOM DESIGN
End-to-end architecture services. We design your private cloud from requirements through capacity sizing, network topology, storage tiering, and DR posture — then build and operate what we designed.
CONSULTING
Expert guidance on private-cloud strategy, platform choice, and migration sequencing. We assess your current infrastructure and produce a roadmap — without forcing a downstream commitment to operate it.
NETWORK BACKBONE
Private-cloud workloads ride intSignal's network fabric — dedicated network segments, low-latency routing between regions, and direct connections to the public clouds where you also operate.
Where private cloud fits
Private cloud isn't right for every workload. It's right for the ones where dedicated capacity, regulatory posture, or platform familiarity make hyperscaler public cloud the wrong fit.
FINANCIAL SERVICES
Trading systems, customer data platforms, and core banking workloads where data residency, dedicated capacity, and audit-ready evidence outweigh the elasticity benefits of public cloud.
HEALTHCARE
EMR systems, imaging archives, and clinical applications where PHI handling and high availability for life-critical workflows justify dedicated infrastructure with documented controls.
MISSION CRITICAL
Workloads where a single hour of outage costs more than a year of operating premium. Automatic failover, priority incident response, and DR drills tied to actual recovery objectives — not aspirations.
Licensing & trademarks
The commercial stacks (VMware, Nutanix, SAP HANA, Veeam) run on intSignal infrastructure under a customer-owned license (BYOL) model. You hold the entitlement directly with the software vendor or through your reseller of record. Proxmox VE is open-source and doesn't require third-party licensing. The intSignal Platform is our own software and is included in the platform service. We provision, patch, monitor, and respond to incidents at the platform and infrastructure layer for all of them.
This separation matters for several reasons: licensing transparency (you see what you pay the vendor and what you pay us, separately); portability (the licenses stay yours if you ever leave); compliance posture (your entitlement records are with you, not held by a managed service provider in the middle).
If you need help acquiring licenses, we'll refer you to the appropriate channel — we don't broker or resell vendor licenses as part of this service.
Day-two operations
Running a private cloud isn't the install. It's the patches, the capacity calls, the 2 AM page, and the audit evidence. These are the operations intSignal runs on the stacks above.
PROVISIONING
New nodes, new datastores, new clusters provisioned to documented timelines. Capacity reviews quarterly so you're not surprised by a 6-week procurement lead time mid-quarter.
PATCHING
Hypervisor, firmware, and platform patches scheduled in your change windows. Pre-tested in a staging cluster. Rolled out per host with vMotion / live-migration where supported.
MONITORING
VMware vCenter metrics, Nutanix Prism metrics, HANA-specific signals, Veeam job status — all wired into dashboards and alerting. Anomalies paged, not buried in a console nobody opens.
BACKUP & DR
Backup jobs reviewed monthly. Restore tests scheduled and reported. DR drills exercised at least annually, with results captured for evidence. Backups that "should work" don't count.
INCIDENT RESPONSE
Platform incidents paged to on-call. Triage, mitigation, post-incident review. Customers get a status page and a written timeline, not a Slack thread that gets archived.
AUDIT & EVIDENCE
Provisioning, patching, capacity changes, restore tests, and DR drills captured with timestamps and operator. Bundled into the monthly evidence pack for your SOC 2 / ISO / audit cadence.
Hardening and operating practices aligned to the frameworks your assessors recognize. intSignal is not the certified entity for most of these — we deliver the controls and evidence that make your audit possible.
HARDENING
Hypervisor and OS hardening with documented exceptions.
SOC 2
Change records and evidence cadence ready for audit.
ISO
Cloud-services control narratives.
HIPAA
Encryption, access, audit; BAA via partner.
FEDERAL
Authorized hyperscaler regions integrated where required.
DATACENTER
Hosting facility carries its own attestations.
FAQ
If yours isn't here, ask in the consultation — we'd rather flag the awkward bits early than discover them in production.
No. intSignal is not a certified, authorized, validated, or accredited partner of VMware, Nutanix, SAP, or Veeam. We operate these platforms on customer-owned licenses (BYOL). The licensing relationship stays directly between you and the vendor — we don't sit in the middle. Some customers prefer this because it preserves their licensing transparency and portability. Proxmox VE is open-source, so there's no equivalent partnership question — it's free to use. The intSignal Platform is ours, so there's no third party involved.
Directly from the vendor, through your existing reseller of record, or through a fresh procurement channel. We can refer you to common channels, but we don't broker or resell vendor licenses ourselves. This keeps the financial relationship clean: you pay the software vendor for software, you pay us for infrastructure and operations.
Yes, using the same tooling you already use. VMware: vMotion-compatible network for live migration, or HCX for larger moves. Nutanix: standard Nutanix migration tooling. We coordinate the network paths, capacity sizing, and cut-over timing — the actual move uses vendor-native tools you and your team know.
It depends. Proxmox is technically capable for most workloads — clustering, live migration, HA, snapshots, replication, backup are all there. The honest trade-offs: smaller ecosystem (fewer integrations than VMware/Nutanix), different operational model your team needs to learn, and some advanced networking (NSX-equivalent) features that aren't 1:1. For a lot of customers Proxmox is the right answer; for some, the VMware ecosystem and team familiarity justify the licensing cost. We'll talk through both honestly.
Sized per SAP's published guidance for in-memory workloads (memory, CPU, storage IOPS, network throughput per node class). We work with your basis team or SAP partner to validate the sizing against your actual workload before provisioning. Production-grade HSR (HANA System Replication) configurations are supported, including cross-region replicas for DR posture.
Single-tenant by design. Dedicated hosts, dedicated storage allocation, dedicated network paths where it matters (HANA replication, vMotion). The whole point of private cloud is that you're not competing with someone else's noisy workload for cache or memory bandwidth.
Infrastructure and operations are billed monthly based on the dedicated capacity you reserve — node count, storage allocation, network commitments. Software licenses are billed by the vendor directly to you, separately. We'll model the full cost (ours plus your vendor licensing) against your workload before you commit so there are no surprises.
Yes. We've operated mixed environments before — for example, VMware for the bulk of the estate and Nutanix for a specific application that benefits from HCI. Backup via Veeam works across both. SAP HANA hosting works independently of the hypervisor choice. The four stacks compose freely; you don't have to standardize on one.
Tell us what you run today — VMware, Nutanix, SAP HANA, Veeam, or a mix. We'll propose the dedicated infrastructure, the migration approach, and the operating model. Licenses stay yours.
