ICP handles both sides of maintenance: preventive plans that generate work automatically, and windows that quiet alerts while you do planned work — the preventive maintenance scheduling built into the platform.
Preventive maintenance plans
A plan is a recurring schedule that auto-generates work orders so routine service never gets forgotten.
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Name / description | What the plan covers |
| Target | A site and/or an asset |
| Frequency | Every N days (1–3650) |
| Enabled | Whether the plan is active |
| Next due | When the next order will generate |
The plan shows its last run and the last work order it created, and a run due maintenance action generates any due orders on demand.
Maintenance windows (alert suppression)
A maintenance window suppresses alerting during planned work, so you don't create noise tickets while you're on a device on purpose.
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Reason | Why the window exists |
| Target | A site and/or an asset |
| Start / end | The suppression window |
The list shows whether a window is currently active.
Tip
Open a maintenance window before planned work that will trip thresholds, then close it (or let it expire) when you're done — alerting resumes automatically.
