This guide gets you signed in, oriented, and pointed at the first things to set up.
Sign in with Microsoft
Open the console and choose Sign in with Microsoft, using your work account. If you belong to more than one organization, pick the one you want to work in.
Land on the Overview
The Overview dashboard summarizes your operation — active tickets, SLA status, work orders, technicians, edge devices online, and asset health.
Note
New people are added by invitation — an admin invites a specific Microsoft identity into a role, and it's redeemed automatically the first time that person signs in. See Users, roles & access.
Get from device to dispatch
The fastest way to learn ICP is to walk one job through the whole flow — the monitoring, ticketing, dispatch, and billing workflow your team will run every day:
Connect a site
Install and provision the edge gateway at a site so its equipment starts reporting telemetry.
Add an alert rule
Create an alert rule on an asset's telemetry point — a comparator and threshold — and the priority of the ticket it should open.
Let a ticket open
When the point breaches the threshold, ICP opens an alert and a ticket automatically, routed and prioritized.
Schedule & dispatch
Turn the ticket into a work order, schedule the right technician from the dispatch board, and dispatch it.
Do the work & close
The technician checks in on site, logs parts and labor, and gets a sign-off; you resolve the ticket and, if you bill, generate an invoice.
