The inventory catalog tracks the parts your technicians use, so stock stays accurate as jobs consume it — the parts side of asset and inventory management.
Catalog items
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| SKU | Unique within your organization |
| Name | The part name |
| Unit cost | Used when the part is drawn onto a job |
| Stock quantity | The running on-hand count |
Stock adjustments
Adjust stock by a positive or negative delta (for receiving, shrinkage, or corrections). Stock is never driven below zero.
How work orders use inventory
When a technician draws a catalog part onto a work order:
- The part's stock decrements, and its name and cost are snapshotted onto the order
- Removing that part from the order returns the stock
This keeps counts honest without extra data entry, and the parts flow straight into invoicing.
Tip
Inventory is exportable to CSV from Reports & exports for stock-takes and offline analysis.
