Technicians work from a field technician mobile app with GPS. They see the jobs assigned to them and act on them on site. On-site actions are scoped to a technician's own assigned orders (dispatchers and admins can act on any).
Today's jobs
The app shows a technician their assigned work orders and lets them move each one forward — check in, capture the work, and complete.
Location sharing (consent-gated)
A technician can share their live position, which keeps their last-known location current for smart assignment.
Note
Location is opt-in. Position updates are only accepted when the technician has turned location sharing on — nothing is tracked without consent.
Geofenced check-in
When a technician checks in, if the order's site has coordinates, they must be inside the site's geofence to check in. If they're outside it, check-in is rejected and the app shows the measured distance versus the limit.
- Default geofence radius: 200 m
- Configurable per site, from 10 m to 100 km
- The check-in location is stamped on the work order
Capturing work on site
From the app (and the web console), a technician can:
- Log parts and labor, and tick off checklist tasks
- Capture an on-site e-signature for sign-off
- Upload field photos and documents (attachments up to 8 MB) to the ticket or work order
- Add comments to the job's timeline
