1. Create your account
Go to portal.intsignal.com/compliance and sign up with:
- Email and password (you'll verify your email), or
- Google or Microsoft sign-in.
One person is one account for life. If you're already an intSignal customer, sign in with your existing account — the workspace appears as a new area alongside your other services, and no data is moved or migrated.
Tip: Sign up with the email you'll use long-term. If you later buy intSignal services, they attach to this same account and your compliance program stays exactly where it is.
2. Turn on MFA
If you'll store evidence — and you will — enable MFA/TOTP on your account under security settings. Evidence is sensitive, and MFA is the single biggest protection against a stolen password. It takes about a minute with any authenticator app.
3. Choose a framework
Pick the standard you're working toward:
- SOC 2 — the report your customers ask for.
- ISO 27001 — the international ISMS certification.
- HIPAA — required if you handle protected health information.

4. Take the tour
Once your framework loads, you'll see:
- The control program — every control/requirement, grouped by domain, each with a status.
- Your readiness score — starting at 0% and climbing as you work.
- The gap list — what's still missing, prioritized.
5. Work your first control
Open any control and:
- Read what it's asking for.
- Set a status — not started, in progress, implemented, or N/A (with a justification).
- Add notes describing how you meet it.
- Upload evidence that proves it (a policy PDF, a screenshot, a config export).
